A woman comes from a Hindu high caste family. Her name is Nirjala. Her family want her to get married to a Hindu upper caste man. She agrees to do so. But before the wedding, she meets with a poor Indian. This man belongs to a very low caste. This man also has a very hot temper and gets into fights all the time. But both fall in love with each other. Nirjala's family refuse to permit her to get married to him. They force her to get married to the man of their choice. In the meantime, Radhe gets into fight, and someone hits him very hard on his head. Radhe loses his senses and falls down. When he wakes him, he finds himself a mental patient. The hospital finds him very violent and they chain. He is unable to remember his past. Then Nirjala re-enters his life. Will this cure Radhe or make him even worse?

When an employee of Mumbai's Chandan Nagar leaves, he is replaced by a youth, Fatka, who has a stray dog, Bhidu. There is no accommodation provided for this homeless orphan, and he and his pet decide to make an abandoned antique car their new home. There is some resentment from the children of the building, but Fatka gets accepted in the cricket team after he demonstrates his bowling capabilities. A chance visit by a politician, Shashikant Bhide, results in enforcement of new municipal legislation to capture all stray dogs, and the children decide to oppose it. Their attempt to secure 31 signatures from residents turns out to be in vain, and they decide to launch a unique protest. Shashikant puts pressure on Chandan Nagar's Secretary, Tandon, as well as launches his own campaign to enforce the legislation and ensure Bhidu's capture.

Suraj Singh (Anil Kapoor) is in love with the beautiful and wealthy Komal (Karisma Kapoor). Komal leaves her husband with her father. She delivers a baby boy but Yashpal wants to make sure that the one thing that can bring her daughter and Suraj together be eliminated immediately. He hires hit men to kill the baby but Suraj manages to get away with his son.They move to a unknown place and he raises his son with the help of the villagers. Suraj later meets Vaijanti (Shilpa Shetty) an eccentric fisher woman who his son sees as a mother and friend. Vaijanti begins to love Suraj, and hopes that he feels the same way.Komal depressed and lonely spots her son with Suraj. Then begins a bitter custody battle between her and Suraj.
